Activities and leisure at the Basque campsite in Saint Jean de Luz
It's the holidays, time to enjoy new experiences at the campsite in Saint-Jean-de-Luz! There are leisure activities for everyone on site: heated swimming pool, children's playground, pétanque, table tennis. There is also no shortage of activities in the surrounding area.
Activities and leisure at the campsite
- Heated swimming pool: enjoy the heated aquatic area. There is a paddling pool for toddlers and teenagers can have fun on the water slide.
- Children's playground: a fun and safe area in the heart of the campsite, where children can play in peace and make new friends.
- Petanque court: whether you're a casual or experienced player, our petanque court is the perfect place to spend time with friends or family. A classic camping holiday activity!
- Table tennis: a table tennis table is available for lively games. Perfect for spending time together while staying active. Grab your bats!
Activities in Saint-Jean-de-Luz
In the immediate vicinity of the campsite, a wide range of activities are available for outdoor enthusiasts, sports lovers and nature lovers. Discover the pleasures of cycling, hiking, diving, fishing, golf and, of course, surfing. In the evening, enjoy local entertainment and traditional shows, such as pelota or Basque strength games.
Here are some activities to enjoy in the surrounding area:
- Beaches near the campsite: Lafiténia (300 m), ideal for surfing, Mayarco (150 m) and Cenitz (400 m). All are supervised during the summer season.
- Surf schools (150 m): surf, longboard, bodyboard and stand-up paddle lessons. Acotz district in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, near Guéthary.
- Mayarko mini golf (150 m): 18-hole course accessible to all, with the beach just below! More information.
- Near the campsite: the Saint-Jean-de-Luz to Bidart coastal path (GR® 8) and the Vélodyssée cycle route (EV1) Guéthary – Saint-Jean-de-Luz – Hendaye. The ARENA campsite has been awarded the Accueil Vélo label.
- Boat trips and sea fishing: board the Nivelle V at the port of Saint-Jean-de-Luz for a boat trip or to learn coastal fishing techniques. More info HERE.
